Zero In on the Life You Want

Now is the time to get really focused. I’m so happy some of you shared your goals for the new year and decade with me over on Instagram. Shameless plug, if you haven’t followed me on my socials please do! I love to get to know you all on a more personal level, ask questions, share funny tidbits of my life, and want to foster a mighty tribe and community so let’s get talking. My last blog post was all about setting goals and sharing a few of mine with you. As you may well know I have a lot of them. Often times we start strong at the beginning of a new year, but it’s a lot harder to consistently work to hit those goals each and everyday. I’ve read that success is a series of small consistent actions done daily. I agree. Nothing you want comes from working on it once or for only an hour. The success we all desire will only come from working hard to hustle our dreams to reality each and every day.

Always remember you can do anything you set your mind to. Stay focused on the big picture.

For this outfit, I’m back with probably the most talked about brand I mention. Any guesses? (Outfit details at the end.)

I’m also currently on the hunt to expand my sustainable wardrobe! If you have any favorite online thrifting/secondhand shops or retailers leave a comment or send them my way! I love thrifting in person, but there’s so many amazing gems to be found online and I’m sure there is probably countless that I don’t yet know about. I’m planning a few new purchases from some places I’ve been eyeing and building way too many shopping carts for and I can’t wait to style some of these pieces in the coming months.

I mentioned recently that it’s my goal in 2020 to have at least 85% of my closet to be secondhand and vintage pieces. Doing my part means learning to say no to what is fast and easy, and taking more of a conscious look at my impact on the environment. For me, this goes beyond just clothing and will involve other shifts in my life, but I’m so excited to truly bring style to my fashion with the most unique pieces. It’ll be a journey, y’all. So much heat is coming.
